What I like about this class is that I never get bored the teacher has really good methods to teach and easier for me to learn. One of the things I enjoy most is when we get in groups because I can learn from other classmates. Next term I am going to take English 0950 with Roy again, probably he is tired of me but I like the way he teach. Another thing I like is that we can make up works and we can make up hours too. Sometimes we can have an emergency and not make it to school, and we will have the opportunity to make up those hours.

I’m almost in English 0950; I’m afraid of not doing well in this class, I think that English 0950 is a level very difficult for me. This term while I was taking English 0750 I was taking reading 0950, and it was terribly hard. I had to drop out the class because I had so much pressure and I couldn’t make it; I do not want the same thing to happen again. I think it is going to be even worse because I have to take reading 0950 again and English 0950. The next term I know is going to be very hard and busy, but I have to find a way to deal with it.

Writing has several benefits. If you are a good writer then you have an expanded vocabulary; if you have an expanded vocabulary, then you are a good reader because you going to be able to understand easily what you read. Writing has a lot of skills that you can develop. For example: organizational skill that can apply to presentations, to discussions, to develop and expand vocabulary, to read, and to speak. I wish I can improve all of those skills, but at least I’m developing vocabulary, reading and speaking. These skills will help me with my future English classes because it is the basics in almost all the English classes, so now I’m ready to improve more of the writing skills.

When I was revising my assignments I notice that I don’t have so many spelling mistakes like I used to. When I first started to write in English I remember that I had a project about Hispanic people, I had to write a paragraph explaining why there is so many Hispanic people living in United States. I tried to do it but I couldn’t do it, I couldn’t spell correctly so I gave up. I was so frustrated that I thought that I wasn’t going to learn how to spell correctly; it was so hard for me. Until yesterday I realized that I improve my spelling without noticing.

When I was revising my assignments I was trying to remember how long does it took me to do them. The first one took me like a weak to do it, but the next assignment took me less than the first one and so on. That’s one of the skill I’m developing. I can do an assignment without taking so much time to finish it. But my problem is that almost always I do my assignments the day is due, so I don’t have time to revise them; usually that is why I got low scores. It is necessary to revise my assignments before I turn it in, to see if I have any mistakes

The three assignments that I picked was the application packet, the summary and the essay. Those three assignments were the most difficult for me. I selected the application packet because it was where got my lowest score; I wanted to revise it to see what I did wrong and also to try to learn from those mistakes, because maybe the next time I will have to do an application letter or a resume, will be for real not just an assignment. On the summary was not easy to explain in a few words what you read in an article that is like seven pages long. The essay was even harder because I had never done a project in which I have to put my personal thoughts on paper.
